Wagner played in the highest league baseball from 1897 to 1917.
Called the flying German, he won 8 times the title of the champion, 6 times became the champion of the league on slugging and 5 times on the stolen bases. Perhaps one of the greatest players in the position of shortstop.
Wagner was in the first group of players included in the baseball hall of fame. Most of his career he spent in Pittsburgh Pirates, had an average batting level of 0.329, made 3,430 hits, scored over 1,700 runs.
